Description of the watch
The design of this timepiece, with a 44mm case, is inspired by the Hotaka Mountains, one of the largest mountain ranges in Japan, which stands in front of the Shinshu Watch Studio.
This mountain range was born from volcanic activity in the region, and the dial of this watch has a color and texture that reflects the geology of Hotaka.
Thanks to Grand Seiko's iconic Spring Drive caliber, the seconds hand glides silently and smoothly over the dial, perfectly reflecting the natural flow of time. The power reserve is 72 hours when the watch is fully wound and can be checked on the indicator placed at eight o'clock.
The GMT hand allows the time to be read in a second time zone and the time can be adjusted without affecting the accuracy of ± 1 second per day offered by the Spring Drive movement.
