Grand Seiko Europe (head office address: 7 Place Vendôme, 75001 Paris, France / CEO: Frédéric Bondoux), and the stores from which customers purchase products (collectively referred to hereafter as "Grand Seiko") recognise the importance of protecting the personal data of customers purchasing products from the Grand Seiko Boutique Online (the "Website") and agree to process these data as follows:

  1. Grand Seiko Europe is considered as an independent business operator concerning the personal data collected from customers on the Website.
  2. Grand Seiko Europe uses the data collected to:
    • Process product purchases, make products available and contact customers on these subjects
    • Receive and respond to requests
    • Send out questionnaires and emails
    • Implement a mail order service, organise competitions, send out orders and contact customers on these subjects
    • Implement Website services dedicated to members

  3. In order to respond to customer requests, Grand Seiko Europe may share customer personal data with other companies belonging to the Seiko Holdings Corporation. The following personal data may be shared: name, email address, telephone number and other contact information, other registration information and details of customer requests. The entity responsible for managing personal data must be the company that received the customer's request.
  4. For the publication of reviews or photographs on the Website, Grand Seiko Europe will publish only appropriate data after obtaining the consent of each individual.
  5. Concerning the personal data received via the forms available on the Website, Grand Seiko normally uses an encryption protocol for transmission. At the same time, it endeavours to prevent any leaks when these forms are sent or received.
  6. Grand Seiko Europe may supply information received via the Website to subcontractors. Further, Grand Seiko may forward requests received via the Website to the people concerned within the relevant company. Grand Seiko agrees in such cases, on a contractual basis or through other means, to require subcontractors and any other persons concerned to deploy the same efforts as Grand Seiko Europe to prevent leakage of personal data.

    Customers can restrict cookies by changing their browser settings. In this case, however, the services available through the Website may be restricted.
  8. For purposes of advertising, the Website uses cookies to collect information on the user's browsing history and purchasing history in the online store, in order to analyse their interests and preferences through "Informational Data".
    • Cookie ID (each time the Website sends a cookie)
    • URLs of Website pages visited by users on a computer (browser)
    • Classification (segmentation) and the results of the analysis of Website pages visited by users using a computer (browser)
    • Website transitions visited by users on a computer (browser), Website pages visited and history of the actions performed.
    Informational Data is used exclusively to identify individual units, and not to identify people. Moreover, the retention period for the Informational Data collected by Grand Seiko Europe is two years from the date of the last visit to the Website by a user using a computer (browser).
  9. In order to securely store personal data as part of Website operation, Grand Seiko Europe implements security measures appropriate for the system and its operation, such as server management systems and access restrictions.
  10. The Website may include links to other websites operated by third party companies or individuals. Linked websites are not operated by Grand Seiko Europe, and it is the responsibility of the third party companies or individuals to protect personal data on these websites.
  11. Grand Seiko Europe strives to protect the personal data of minors by processing them in the same way as the personal data of adults. The consent of a guardian may be requested, if necessary.
