Delivery / Return / Guarantee
Products purchased on the website can only be delivered in France (excluding Oversea Departments and Territories), Italy (excluding Campione d’Italia, Livigno, The Italian Waters of Lake Lugano), Germany (excluding Heligoland and Busingen), The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco.
The Company pays the delivery costs and chooses the carrier for all purchases made on the website.
Items are shipped to the delivery address specified during the ordering process.
It is understood that the items may only be delivered to:
- either the customer's usual place of residence, which must be in France (excluding Oversea Departments and Territories), Italy (excluding Campione d’Italia, Livigno, The Italian Waters of Lake Lugano), Germany (excluding Heligoland and Busingen), The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco.
- or the delivery address specified by the customer at the time of the order, on the understanding that the address in question must correspond to the usual place of residence of a third-party chosen by the customer, and whose normal place of residence is in France (excluding Oversea Departments and Territories), Italy (excluding Campione d’Italia, Livigno, The Italian Waters of Lake Lugano), Germany (excluding Heligoland and Busingen), The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco. Alternatively, the Customer may specify their professional address for the delivery, provided it is in France (excluding Oversea Departments and Territories), Italy (excluding Campione d’Italia, Livigno, The Italian Waters of Lake Lugano), Germany (excluding Heligoland and Busingen), The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco.
Under no circumstance may the delivery be made to hotels or post office boxes.
With this in mind, customers undertake to provide the exact delivery address when confirming their orders, as well as additional information (fixed and mobile telephone number) to enable the goods to be delivered correctly.
The Company cannot be held responsible if the delivery address entered when registering the order is incorrect or incomplete. Customers must sign for the deliveries. Consequently, customers must present a valid identity document to take possession of the goods.
The delivery of the items will take place after the order has been paid for, i.e. after the customer's bank account has been debited and the corresponding amounts have been credited to the account of GRAND SEIKO EUROPE S.A.S. Customers benefit from the standard delivery service provided by the transport company Temis Luxury. The average, indicative delivery time in France (excluding Oversea Departments and Territories), Italy (excluding Campione d’Italia, Livigno, The Italian Waters of Lake Lugano), Germany (excluding Heligoland and Busingen), The Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Monaco is 1 (one) to 4 (four) working days, calculated as from the working day following the email notification confirming that the carrier has taken charge of your parcel (non-contractual delivery time for information purposes only).
In accordance with the provisions of Article L.138-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the items ordered will be delivered:
- either within 30 days following the date of the order payment confirmation on the website, subject to full payment of the price.
- or, within the time-frame indicated to the customer by email or by telephone, and duly accepted beforehand, in the event of temporary unavailability of the item concerned.
Upon delivery, if the exterior of the package appears damaged, the customer shall open it in the presence of the carrier in order to check the condition of the item. If relevant, the customer shall notify the carrier of any reservations he/she may have concerning the state of the product, notably by specifying them on the delivery note and then confirm these reservations to the carrier by registered letter within three days of the delivery. The customer shall also inform the Company of these reservations, notably by sending an email to email@example.com.
The Seller shall do its utmost to deliver the products ordered by the Customer within the time-frames specified above. These times are given as an indication.
However, if the Products ordered have not been delivered within 30 days of the indicative delivery date, for any reason other than force majeure or due to the Customer's own fault, the sale may be cancelled at the Customer's written request, pursuant to Articles L 138-2 and L 138-3 of the French Consumer Code. The sums paid by the Customer shall then be returned within fourteen days of the date of the contract cancellation, subject to any compensation or deduction.
RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL & RETURN OF ITEMS
In accordance with the provisions of Articles L.121-17 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, customers have a right of withdrawal. They may exercise this right without having to justify their reasons, within fourteen (14) clear days of receipt of the items. In this context, and within the aforementioned period, customers are entitled to return the items in their original packaging; the goods must be in perfect condition and complete (accessories, instructions, warranty, case, cushion, protective film, etc.) and accompanied by a copy of the “Order Confirmation” and the “Return form”. They are to be sent to the Grand Seiko Boutique Paris Vendôme.
The Company reserves the right to refuse the return if these conditions are not met.
Customers must fill in the "Return form" in order to inform Grand Seiko Europe of their withdrawal request and organise the return of the goods.
Customers must ensure that the products are properly packaged to prevent them from being damaged during transport.
Customers must keep all documentary proof of this return.
"Personalised" items cannot be exchanged or refunded.
The refund will be made via the payment method used when the order was registered, within fourteen days of the receipt of the returned product(s) by the Company.
Any items that are returned incomplete, spoiled, damaged, deteriorated or soiled through the customer's fault will not be refunded in full.
GRAND SEIKO 5 YEAR WARRANTY
The seller provides a five-year commercial warranty for GRAND SEIKO watches purchased on the store.grandseikoboutique.eu website, starting from the date of the online purchase.
The warranty only covers products purchased on the store.grandseikoboutique.eu website.
To make a claim under the warranty, please contact our Customer Service Department on +33 (0)1 81 69 56 96 for a preliminary assessment. Depending on the situation, a product return form will be sent to you by email. The warranty card received with your product and a copy of the “Order Confirmation” must be attached to your shipment. Upon receipt of the product under warranty, we will repair or exchange it, after verification by our workshop.
If the type of repair is not covered by the warranty, please contact our Customer Service Department on +33 (0)1 81 69 56 96 for a preliminary assessment. Depending on the situation, a product return form will be sent to you by email. You will be responsible for the shipping costs. You must attach the warranty card received with your product, a copy of the “Order Confirmation” and the return form to your return package. The package must be sent to the following address:

We will provide you with a quote before any repair operation. Should you refuse the quote for the repair, the product will be returned to you at your expense. The shipment will be made on a cash-on-delivery basis. If you do not wish your product to be returned, Grand Seiko Europe will have it destroyed in accordance with the legislation in force. If you accept to have your product repaired or exchanged, the product will be returned to you at your expense, on a cash-on-delivery basis.
This warranty covers the casing, the movement, the dial, the hands and all metal wrist-bands, but does not cover the glass, the battery and wrist-bands made from any material other than metal, or any scratches caused by normal use. Similarly, any damage caused by natural disasters, such as earthquake and floods, is not covered. If the watch is marked with "WATER RESISTANT" on the back of the casing, this warranty also covers damage caused by water infiltration. Please refer to the instruction booklet to find out more about the possible use of the product according to the degree of water-resistance.
If the item has been handled and damaged during the warranty period by someone other than an official Grand Seiko agent, the warranty shall not apply.
Independently of the warranty granted, the Company remains liable for any product non-conformities in relation to the contract and for any critical defects, pursuant to Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code.
Article 1641 of the French Civil Code: The seller shall guarantee against any hidden defects in the item sold and which would render it unfit for its intended use, or hinder its use to the point that the buyer would not have bought it, or would have paid a lower price for it, had they been aware of these defects.
Article 1648 of the French Civil Code: The claim resulting from the critical defects must be brought by the buyer within two years of discovering the defect.
Article L211-4 of the French Consumer Code: The seller shall deliver goods that are in conformity with the contract and shall be liable for any non-conformities that exist at the time of delivery.
The seller shall also be liable for any non-conformities resulting from the packaging and any assembly or installation instructions, if the latter are subject to the seller's responsibility under the contract or were carried out under its responsibility.
Article L211-5 of the French Consumer Code: To be compliant with the contract, the good must:
1. Be fit for the purpose usually expected from such a good, and, if relevant:
- correspond to the description given by the seller and possess the qualities that the seller presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model;
- have the qualities that a buyer may legitimately expect to receive, in view of the public statements made by the seller, producer or their representative, notably through advertising or on the labelling;
Or have the characteristics defined by mutual agreement between the parties or be suitable for any special use sought by the buyer, about which the seller was duly informed and had accepted.
Article L211-12 of the French Consumer Code: A claim linked to a non-conformity is subject to a limitation period of two years from the delivery of the good.
